LOUISIANA — After Ryan Palmer and Jon Rahm won the Zurich Classic on Sunday at TPC Louisiana, Palmer quickly gave a thumbs up to his partner’s relationship with Kelley Cahill.
Rahm and Cahill became engaged in June of 2018 but the 24-year-old rising PGA Tour star said they didn’t want to make it official until Palmer gave the two lovers his approval.
Palmer said he had no plans on giving them his blessing until realizing he had a shot at winning his first PGA Tour event in nine years.
Rahm joked, “Yeah, Ryan picked up his first win in a long time but we need to remember that it was a team effort.”
“Congrats to him and I hope he enjoys this moment but he’ll be paying for my back massages.”
The duo edged out Sergio Garcia and Tommy Fleetwood by three strokes for the victory.
Palmer’s son, Mason, also made a shocking after round gesture as he threw up a pair of gang signs.
He declined an interview with Two Grooves Low but Palmer added, “he’s (Mason) got a mind of his own.”
“He was in a middle school play on Thursday and he one of Shrek’s gang members. I guess he’s still in character.”
